What is a head-on collision?

A head-on collision occurs when the front ends of two vehicles travelling in opposite directions crash into each other. These types of accidents are particularly dangerous due to the combined force of both vehicles' speeds, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities, as tragically happened to PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough.
