What is a connectome?

A connectome is a complete map of all the neural connections in a brain, like a detailed wiring diagram. In this story, scientists created the first full connectome for a male fruit fly, allowing them to compare it with a female's. This map helps us understand how specific brain circuits lead to particular behaviours.
