What are these tunnels for?

Tunnels are often built for military purposes to move people or equipment secretly, or to store weapons and supplies. In this case, Israel claims the tunnels were built by Hezbollah, a Lebanese political party and militant group, to launch attacks across the border. Destroying them is a significant military action.
