What are other shipping routes?

If the Panama Canal becomes less reliable, ships might have to take longer routes. The main alternative is sailing around Cape Horn at the southern tip of South America, which adds significant time, fuel costs, and risks due to rough seas. Other options include using the Suez Canal, but that's for East-West trade, not North-South like Panama.
