What are landslides?

Landslides are the movement of rock, debris, or earth down a slope, often triggered by heavy rainfall. The severe flooding warned about with Typhoon Dolphin significantly increases the risk of landslides in affected provinces. These can be incredibly destructive, blocking roads, damaging infrastructure, and posing a serious threat to communities in hilly or mountainous regions.
