How does inflight WiFi work?

Traditionally, inflight WiFi used ground-based towers or geostationary satellites, which could be slow and expensive. Starlink changes this by using a network of many small satellites much closer to Earth. This reduces the signal travel time, known as latency, and allows for much faster data speeds, making the internet experience on a plane feel more like being on the ground.
