Explained in plain English

How do they 'burn up safely'?

When a satellite re-enters Earth's atmosphere, the intense friction causes it to heat up and disintegrate. Most of the material burns away completely, with any remaining fragments typically falling into unpopulated ocean areas. This controlled re-entry is a standard safety measure to prevent debris from reaching the ground and causing harm.
