How do space telescopes work?

Space telescopes like the Roman, Hubble, and James Webb are placed in orbit to avoid the blurring effects of Earth's atmosphere. This allows them to capture much clearer images and detect fainter light from distant objects. The Roman telescope's wide field of view means it can survey vast areas of space much faster.
