How do football transfers work?
When a player moves from one club to another, like Jayden Adams moving from Stellenbosch FC to Mamelodi Sundowns, it's called a transfer. Clubs negotiate a fee for the player's contract, and the player agrees new terms with their new team. Transfers usually happen during specific 'windows' in the year.
