Can the Leader be removed?
While the Supreme Leader holds immense power in Iran, their removal is theoretically possible. The Assembly of Experts, a body of 88 clerics, has the constitutional power to dismiss the Leader if they are deemed unfit. However, this has never happened, and the Assembly itself is heavily influenced by the Leader's office.
