Sadly, there's no truly effective treatment for Naegleria fowleri once it causes an infection like Lillian's. Doctors try a combination of antifungal and antibiotic drugs, often including miltefosine, but the amoeba is incredibly aggressive. Early diagnosis is crucial, but it's very difficult to spot before symptoms become severe.
