Zinedine Zidane is taking over as France's new manager, ending his five-year break from football after leaving Real Madrid in 2021. The French Football Federation confirmed his arrival on Tuesday at a press conference, calling it a "great source of pride" to lead the national team. He replaces Didier Deschamps, who managed Les Bleus for 14 years, winning the World Cup in 2018.
