Zelensky wants to meet Vladimir Putin face-to-face, hoping direct talks can finally bring an end to the four-year-old war in Ukraine. He publicly communicated with the Russian leader, asserting that it is incorrect to simply await renewed US attention on the conflict. Putin, who ruled out a ceasefire, confirmed receiving the letter and will be briefed on its contents.
