College football player MicahJo Barnett dies after sideline emergency
William Jewell College confirmed the passing of junior running back MicahJo Barnett. He died following a medical emergency experienced on the sideline at Saturday's season opener. Barnett reportedly displayed seizure-like symptoms during the opening quarter of the Division II match against Fort Lewis College. He was taken to a local hospital in Liberty, Missouri, where he was pronounced dead, and the game was cancelled.
