Premier Foreways corner shops to close all five Carlisle stores

The mini-chain is shutting down after nearly 40 years in business, with Armstrong Watson appointed as liquidator. The five independently owned shops operated under the Premier brand, which is owned by Tesco. Residents called the closures a "shame" and hoped staff would find new jobs.
