New research suggests both regular and alcohol-free lagers, including German bock beer, contain substantial levels of vitamin B6, which supports brain, blood and immune health. A pint of average lager may supply around 20% of the recommended daily B6 allowance, though scientists caution that beer should not be treated as a primary source of the vitamin.
