Your gut health isn't about hitting 30 plants

A 2018 study found people eating over 30 plant foods weekly had more diverse gut microbiomes, but experts say 30 isn't a precise target. Imperial College London's Professor Daniel M Davis noted the study didn't prove direct health benefits or compare exact numbers. He also warned against expensive supplements claiming to help hit this arbitrary goal, as eating a variety of plant foods is generally good.
