World Cup's new corner kick rule halves goals from set pieces
Officials at the World Cup are being strict on player blocking and holding during corner kicks, with two goals disallowed already. Pierluigi Collina, Fifa's head of referees, told officials there would be zero tolerance for off-the-ball moves stopping opponents from reaching the ball. The crackdown has led to fewer goals from corners at the tournament compared to last season's Premier League.
