Women's pension savings half men's, body warns
Failing to address the gender pension gap risks increasing poverty for older people and damaging government finances. A government-backed Pensions Commission is urging ministers to take action to close this retirement savings gap in Britain. Women approaching retirement have a median private pension wealth of £81,000, which is half the amount men hold.
