Why is Netflix facing a $105m lawsuit?

A stolen master copy set off the $105m claim, filed in Los Angeles on 30 July over missing Nicolas Cage thriller Fortitude. Producer Daniel Haido hand-delivered the unencrypted drive for a Netflix screening, and it disappeared from office desks within a week. Netflix called the delivery non-standard and denies responsibility, though it offered to monitor piracy sites for leaks of the seven-year, $45m production.
