Why is Apple suing its own AI partner?

Because it alleges theft: Apple's lawsuit claims OpenAI ran a coordinated campaign to lift its hardware secrets, with recruits told to bring 'actual parts' to job interviews and a hardware chief accused of coaching staff past exit security. Apple says over 400 of its former employees now work at OpenAI, which is building its first device and denies any interest in rivals' secrets. Awkwardly, ChatGPT still powers parts of the iPhone.
