Why Farage under scrutiny over undeclared gifts and party donations

Nigel Farage is under scrutiny for not declaring a £5 million gift from businessman Christopher Harborne and support from convicted fraudster George Cottrell before the last election. The parliamentary standards commissioner is investigating whether these should have been publicly registered. Police are also investigating a £500,000 donation to Reform UK from Cottrell's mother, Fiona.
