Why did England's FA withdraw support for Infantino?
The English FA withdrew backing for Fifa president Gianni Infantino on Thursday, after his abandoned plan to sell World Cup rights alarmed football bodies. Wales withdrew support on August 3, and Uefa said its Fifa boycott stands though Infantino dropped the plan on August 1. Uefa said its conditions for ending the boycott remain unmet, despite an August 5 crisis meeting where Fifa backed Infantino.
