The accounting giant wants a larger share of the £725bn the UK government promised to spend on public works last June. It took over The Orange Partnership, a specialist firm that checks construction costs, and integrated the staff on Tuesday. Darren Ward, who founded the acquired business, becomes a senior director at the firm to help clients manage project budgets.
