Who is Soham killer Ian Huntley?

The 2002 Soham murders of 10-year-old Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman were perpetrated by Ian Huntley, who had previously served as a school caretaker. In 2003, he received a life sentence, and the presiding judge commented that any prospect of his freedom from the minimum 40-year term was minimal. Huntley was described as cruel and calculating, having feigned concern and given media interviews during the search for the girls. His criminal acts have led to him being assaulted repeatedly during his incarceration, with one recent incident causing substantial head trauma.
