What stops World Boxing from adopting AI judges?
World Boxing, headed by Gennadiy Golovkin, is investigating AI scoring after English boxer Dimeji Shittu lost a Commonwealth Games final despite landing more punches than Ankush Panghal. Delicious Orie said clearer AI rules would win his support, noting AI judged rounds behind the scenes during Tyson Fury's 2024 rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. No boxing body has committed to using it in amateur bouts.
