What Comes Next For Thames Water

Thames Water returned to a £113m post-tax profit after last year's 40 per cent bill rise, yet net debt hit £18.5bn and the company says its cash runs out in the fourth quarter. Creditors are withholding fresh funding until incoming prime minister Andy Burnham takes over next week, and if the reworked £10bn rescue fails, special administration and possible nationalisation loom.
