Wetherspoons bans customers playing music or calls on speaker in its 792 pubs
Wetherspoons has prohibited customers from using their phones for music or calls on speaker due to noise complaints. The pub chain, which runs 792 venues, said the noise was driving people "nuts" and staff will use "common sense" enforcing the rule. Customers are asked to switch phones to silent or use earphones, but managers can ask people to leave if they refuse.
