Welsh Water bans hosepipes for 33,000 west Wales homes from Sunday

The ban follows several weeks of exceptionally high water demand, with about 1 billion litres put into supply daily. Welsh Water said temporary restrictions start Sunday 19 July at 10:00 BST to help protect essential supplies. Around 33,000 properties have been impacted in mid and south Ceredigion, as well as sections of north Pembrokeshire and north Carmarthenshire.
