Welsh village homes flooded after quarry explosion

Residents in Gwaelod-y-Garth were shocked by a powerful explosion, followed by a "wall of water" containing mud, wood, and leaves. Senedd Members for Caerdydd Penarth are trying to secure assistance for local residents who require immediate new accommodation. One local described seeing water up to waist height in some houses, with some pets killed.
