Welsh munitions factory delay hits UK defence and Ukraine aid
A major munitions plant in south Wales has yet to begin operations, half a year after it was due to open, slowing plans to restock the British Army and assist Ukraine. BAE Systems said work at its Glascoed complex was postponed after opting to expand output capacity while the site was still being built. Specialists in defense strategy warn that failing to quickly expand Britain's output of 155mm munitions threatens to heighten reliance on scarce international stockpiles at a crucial juncture.
