Volkswagen will cut half its car models to reduce costs
The German carmaker says it will focus on its most profitable vehicles as higher costs, tariffs and tougher competition squeeze the business. Volkswagen also plans to reduce global production capacity from 12 million cars to 9 million, matching last year’s sales. The company has not announced new factory closures or job cuts, despite protests from union members.
