Volkswagen is cutting 100,000 jobs and half its car models

Volkswagen Group is set to cut about 100,000 jobs globally, with up to 50,000 in Germany by 2030, according to its chief executive. The carmaker will also slash its model variants by 50% and reduce vehicle complexity by 75% to cut costs. The group is also exploring producing its Chinese models in Europe to boost profitability at some factories.
