Volcano ash strands 170,000 passengers as 8 Indonesian airports close

Around 170,000 passengers are stranded after a volcano eruption forced Indonesian authorities to close eight airports. Operations at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport ceased first on Sunday morning, attributed to ashfall from Anak Krakatau. According to the transport ministry, 1,558 flights have experienced delays, and airports are scheduled to reopen on Monday morning.
