Verstappen's 'Mario Kart' comments spark F1 ban calls

Criticism of new Formula 1 rules could lead to penalties for drivers. Juan Pablo Montoya said Max Verstappen should face either a race suspension or penalty points after mocking the 2026 regulations and comparing them to “Mario Kart” on a podcast. Verstappen, 28, has three super licence points, while 12 would trigger a one-race ban.
