Venezuela declares emergency after two huge earthquakes
Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodríguez declared a state of emergency on Wednesday after two powerful earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude, hit near the capital Caracas. Buildings collapsed and residents ran into the streets as the tremors were felt across the country and in neighbouring Colombia. Rescue crews are now searching for survivors in the rubble of collapsed buildings.
