US, UK hold rates on Iran peace
Both the US and UK central banks look set to keep interest rates unchanged, as a Middle East peace deal eases inflation worries. The US Federal Reserve will hold its benchmark rate at 3.5% to 3.75% on Thursday, its first decision under new chair Kevin Warsh. The Bank of England, facing 2.8% UK inflation, also expects to hold at 3.75%, as analysts wait to see if lower oil prices last.
