US targets 14 ships, 15 companies over Iran oil exports.
The US State Department has introduced new punitive measures aimed at disrupting Iran’s illegal oil exports. The action targets fourteen ships linked to a covert maritime network and blacklists fifteen companies operating in countries such as the UAE, Turkey and India. Washington says the profits support militant activity and internal repression in Iran. The sanctions freeze assets and bar American entities from conducting business with the listed operators.
