US Hits Nine China Firms With Sanctions
Trade tensions between Washington and Beijing may deepen before planned talks between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping next week. The United States said on Friday that nine mainland Chinese and Hong Kong companies and people helped Iran’s military obtain weapons materials linked to drones and missile programmes. Treasury officials said Yushita Shanghai International Trade Company was among those accused of helping Tehran buy arms.
