US court lets Trump strip immigrant protections

America's Supreme Court has backed the Trump administration on two rulings that reshape immigration and asylum, sparking anger from advocacy groups. Lawmakers and advocates say the decisions deny human rights and risk deportation for hundreds of thousands, with one congresswoman calling it a “white-supremacist agenda”. One ruling particularly affects over 350,000 Haitians and Syrians who previously had temporary protection from deportation.
