US Army Apache crashes near Hormuz, crew rescued

Travel and military activity near the waterway could face more uncertainty while investigators work out what happened. A US Army Apache helicopter went down near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, and both crew members were rescued safely, according to reports citing people briefed on the incident. Officials haven’t confirmed a cause yet, with Iranian fire, mechanical failure or another problem all being examined.
