UpScrolled Downloads Soar as TikTok Uninstalls Surge 150% After US Takeover
TikTok uninstalls in the United States surged 150% over five days following announcement of its new US joint venture. Users cited concerns over an updated privacy policy and technical glitches including view count errors and load delays. Rival app UpScrolled saw downloads increase tenfold, while Skylight Social rose 919% and RedNote climbed 53%. Despite the exodus, TikTok's daily active user levels remained relatively flat week-over-week.
