Universal's big UK theme park building starts, opens 2031

Families can look forward to a massive new Universal theme park in Bedfordshire, with construction now under way for a 2031 opening. The Universal United Kingdom Resort received government planning approval in December 2025, with building work starting in January 2026. Comcast NBCUniversal is investing more than £5 billion in the complex over a five-year construction period.
