UK's biggest EV battery factory delays expansion plans
The UK's largest gigafactory in Sunderland has postponed raising its output due to a lack of progress in negotiations over providing electric car batteries for Jaguar Land Rover. Chinese-owned AESC, which makes batteries for Nissan, has also seen lower-than-expected demand from the Japanese carmaker. The delay indicates a decelerating transition from petrol and diesel vehicles to electric ones.
