Ukraine drone strikes knock Russian data centres offline, cutting bot traffic

Graphic: BriefTea

Ukrainian drone attacks have taken multiple Russian data centres offline, causing internet bot traffic from the country to drop to almost zero. These centres, run by Yandex, Russia's version of Google, saw traffic fall to just 0.4% of its two-week high. The strikes on October 8 and 10 targeted data centres in Sasovo and 220 miles west of it.
