UK workers to get guaranteed hours next year

Many UK workers on zero-hours contracts could soon get set weekly hours, bringing more certainty to their pay and schedules. Ministers launched a consultation on Tuesday, suggesting employers provide 8 to 20 hours each week from next year. Over one million people are impacted by this new law, which is criticised by firms and unions.
