Labour has taken a Leicestershire County Council seat from Reform UK in Shepshed. Jane Lennie won with 1,163 votes against Reform's Stuart Wood on 1,110, a majority of 53 after a recount. Restore Britain took 228 votes, more than the winning margin. Turnout was nearly 30 percent. Reform remains the largest party on the council. Labour said voters felt let down after Helen Butler resigned.
