UK temperatures to hit 26C by Thursday after wet weekend

After heavy showers and thunderstorms, temperatures are set to rise again this week, reaching 26C in London by 4pm on Thursday. Most of the UK will see temperatures in the low 20s, with Manchester, Cardiff, and Plymouth expecting highs of 21C. The warm spell is forecast to last the weekend, though rain will sweep across northern areas from Thursday evening.
