UK temperatures drop sharply after record heat.

The UK's record-breaking heatwave is ending with temperatures set to plummet to just 5C in Scotland by next Sunday morning. The Met Office says the heat that smashed records this week will fade into cooler, unsettled weather with showers and thunderstorms possible. Kew Gardens hit 35.1C on Tuesday — breaking a temperature record that stood for over 100 years.
