UK solar installs hit decade high in March

More households are turning to solar power to cut bills as energy costs rise sharply. Government data showed Britain recorded its highest monthly level of installations in 10 years in March 2026, driven by demand linked to the Iran conflict. More than 27,000 systems were fitted, the biggest total since 2012, as people sought protection from rising prices.
